What is Direct To Garment or DTG Printing?

Direct to garment printing otherwise known as DTG printing is a relatively new printing process in the custom t-shirt world. Direct to garment printing is similar to how a computer printer works except it prints directly onto a t-shirt or garment as opposed to a piece of paper.

DTG has a few other pluses that other printing methods do not, including the fact that it will print almost an infinite amount of colors and does not require screens or any type of set up provided the artwork is up to spec. DTG Printing is used for logos or designs with multiple colors, high resolution and detail. It is best suited for smaller orders and those with multiple colors. With DTG printing you can literally print a picture off the internet or off your computer onto a shirt or garment and it will look the exact same as the picture.
